Additives for grinding mineral ore

PDX-LS: Grinding aids for limestone

DESCRIPTION

Grinded calcium carbonate is widely used in a variety of application fields (paints, animal feed, agriculture, cement, etc.). Accordingly, the quality of the final product is defined by three characteristics: particle fineness, color and chemical purity.

  • High-performance PDX-LS additives are specifically designed for grinding limestone into powders of various particle sizes; down to very fine (< 20 µm) and ultrafine (< 2 µm).
  • The basic formulation of the PDX-LS can be customized to meet a wide range of specific requirements from our customers

BENEFITS

  • Add value to final products for various industrial applications.
  • Facilitate the removal of undesirable impurities in limestone.
  • Improve grinding productivity and efficiency, extends equipment lifetime, contributing to energy savings and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

TYPICAL DOSAGES AND APPLICATION METHOD

PDX-LS additives should be used at dosages of 0.05 to 0.1% by weight of limestone to be ground (between 500 and 1000 ml per ton).
The optimal dosage should be determined during plant trials according to the desired properties and purity of the limestone powders and the type of application.

PDX-QZ: Grinding aids for quartz

DESCRIPTION

Quartz is a crystalline mineral (silica dioxide, SiO2) with very high thermal and chemical properties, which is widely used in many large-scale applications (paint, rubber, kitchen countertops, metallurgy, etc.). The purity (SiO2) and colour of quartz are generally affected by the presence of impurities (e.g. Fe2O3) in its atomic lattice. The control of impurities must be optimized during the grinding and preparation procedures.

  • High-performance PDX-QZ additives enhance the grinding of quartz into powders with various particle sizes; down to fine (< 100 µm) and very fine (< 10 µm).
  • The basic formulation of the PDX-QZ can be customized to meet a wide range of specific requirements from our customers.
